About Grace

I was drawn to dogs at an early age. Learning how to communicate with them wasn’t just a hobby—it became something deeply important to me. I spent countless hours at the local library watching videos, reading books, and studying anything I could get my hands on, trying to better understand how dogs think, learn, and experience the world. As I continued learning, I realized this journey went far beyond dogs. I began paying closer attention to how I learn, communicate, and grow. Many of the principles I discovered through dogs—patience, clarity, consistency, and empathy—shaped not only my work, but my relationships with people as well. I’ve been blessed to share my life with some truly special dogs, and just as grateful for the meaningful human relationships that grew from that path—connections I may never have formed if I hadn’t followed this calling.

Professionally, my path hasn’t been a straight line. I was derailed for several years by significant health issues and physical limitations, uncertain whether my rehabilitation would be successful—or whether I would be able to return to work at all, let alone dog training. That season required resilience, adaptability, and deep trust in the process.Coming out the other side, I was incredibly grateful to resume training dogs and was given the opportunity to work hands-on with thousands of dogs over the following years. During that time, I worked with pet dogs of many breeds, ages, and temperaments—from happy-go-lucky puppies to reactive dogs, timid and fearful dogs, and cases involving both human- and dog-aggressive dogs. These experiences strengthened my understanding of behavior and reinforced my belief that every dog is an individual. I bring a wide range of experience in pet dog training and behavior modification, always approaching each dog and family with care, respect, and thoughtful structure.I’ve also had the privilege of working with Service Dogs and Service Dogs in Training. In addition, I have personally trained my own service dog, as well as his successor—an experience that deeply shaped my appreciation for the role dogs can play in supporting independence, confidence, and quality of life.I want to help families and individuals gain the tools, skills, and structure needed to build a truly joyful relationship with their dogs—and the freedom that comes with it. The freedom to welcome people into your home without worry. To take your dog out to eat, to events, or into everyday life without embarrassment, frustration, or anxiety.I want you to experience what it feels like to live fully alongside your four-legged family member—to move through the world as a team, with trust and understanding instead of stress. For some, that freedom comes from having a well-mannered companion. For others, it may come through a well-trained dog who can assist with specific tasks and open the door to greater independence and confidence.Wherever you are on your journey, you don’t have to walk it alone. I want to take your hand and walk beside you, helping you and your dog build the foundations that make your goals possible. Step by step, we’ll create clarity, confidence, and a partnership that supports the life you want to live—together.
